Utah Jazz Unveiling Sport Court, Mural at YWCA for NBA 75th Anniversary Legacy Project
SALT LAKE CITY (March 23, 2022) – In celebration of the NBA’s 75th anniversary season, the Utah Jazz in partnership with America First Credit Union will unveil a new sport court, basketball backboard, funding for new sports equipment, and Jazz-branded wall mural at the YWCA Utah on Tuesday, March 29 at 12:30 p.m.
The Jazz are part of a leaguewide initiative to create and dedicate more than 50 new Live, Learn or Play Centers during the 2021-22 season. Every NBA team is creating legacy spaces in their communities, ranging from technology rooms to basketball courts and play spaces. The overall 2,000th NBA Cares Live, Learn or Play Center was dedicated during NBA All-Star 2022 in Cleveland.
After the court dedication ceremony, Jazz Youth program coaches and staff will conduct a basketball clinic on the new maple-colored basketball halfcourt for YWCA youth.
