YWCA Young Women’s Council hosts a half-day professional development opportunity featuring structured networking, interactive sessions, and a keynote address by Shireen Ghorbani.

Young women ages 18-35 are welcome at the event, which features the theme ‘Make It Count,’ celebrating 100 years of women’s suffrage.

Shireen Ghorbani is a communications professional, a mother, wife, volunteer and, was elected to her first term on the Salt Lake County Council through a special election in February 2019.  In 2016 Shireen ran for the United State House of Representatives in Utah’s 2nd Congressional District. She is passionate about access to healthcare, housing, and engaged elected representation.
