Job Title: Lolie Eccles Early Education Center Assistant Teacher

Job Description: Assisting lead teachers in planning and implementing therapeutically oriented child care to ensure health, safety, and enrichment of infants and toddlers.

Responsibilities:
a. Planning, implementing and supervising children’s stimulation and education activities in order to enhance their emotional and physical growth.
b. Provide developmentally-appropriate care, comfort, nurturing and guidance to infants/toddlers in order to enhance their emotional and physical growth as outlined by NAEYC and State Licensing guidelines.
c. Ensure the cleanliness, orderliness, and safety of facility according to health and hygiene standards, including but not limited to the toileting area, toys, cots, sheets, diaper changing area and food service/preparation area.
d. Responsible for accurate record keeping, data collection, and anecdotal child reports in order to ensure coordinated departmental interventions.

Minimum Required Qualifications:
a. 18 years of age. CDA or higher preferred.
b. If no CDA upon hire, must be willing to obtain CDA.
c. Meet all State Child Care Licensing Requirements including Food Handler’s permit, CPR/First Aid
d. Ability to work flexible assigned hours on a regular basis.
e. Ability to work sensitively and effectively with diverse populations.

Reports to: Director of Lolie Eccles Child Care

Hours: 40Hrs/wk.

Salary: $12/Hr., negotiable/education, plus full benefits package, and retirement.
