Mentor Walk

Mentor Walk

What is a mentor walk? The mentor walk is an opportunity to connect emerging female leaders with professional women in the community. Mentors will be grouped with 2-3 mentees, and will spend an hour walking (about two laps around the park or find a nice seating area to chat) and talking.

Who are the mentors? They include senior executives, thought leaders, entrepreneurs and business owners who value mentoring as an important step to a successful career.

Who are the mentees? Young women ages 18 to 35 who are emerging leaders wanting t to take their career to the next level and value the input of successful women in the community.

Registration will be at 8:30, the walk will start at 9am. The talk will last approximately an hour (2 laps around the park or seated discussion).

This free event is organized by the YWCA Young Women’s Council.

Food Truck Face Off

Join us at Liberty Park on Saturday, June 29 for the largest food truck rally in the state of Utah!

Buy tickets for $5 each online and spend your tickets at over 30 delicious food trucks, with menu items ranging from 1-4 tickets. Tickets will be $6 the day of the event.

A portion of every ticket sold goes toward ending homelessness, poverty, racism and sexism in Utah! 25% of all proceeds will be divided among the four nonprofits (Forth Street Clinic; Utah Community Action; Volunteers of America, Utah; and YWCA Utah).

The Utah Women’s Policy Conference brings together the state’s leading experts and advocates on women’s policy issues, state legislators and policymakers, and Utahns who care about advancing the well-being of all Utah women and girls.

Through working sessions in the YWCA’s three policy priority areas, the Women’s Policy Conference is a unique opportunity to overcome divisiveness, develop shared understanding, and elevate the conversation around critical issues impacting our state.
